WATERPROOFING SYSTEM

Our system of choice is a true and complete waterproofing system which uses two types of sealants (a high-grade, 100% silicone sealant and a rubberized bitumen mastic) in conjunction with a 0.060" (60 mil) thick self-adhering rubberized asphalt membrane by TAMKO®. Further and to protect the membrane and the integrity of the system, a drainage/protection (d/p) mat by J-DRain® is overlaid. The mat is comprised of a high flow dimpled drainage core bonded to a non-woven filter fabric. This d/p mat is then mechanically fastened with an aluminum termination bar to the PolySteel form ties. In "layperson's" terms, a well designed waterproofing system that works very well.

A true waterproofing application, not just dampproofing, is critical to a successful finished product. No one likes a leaky or damp basement or crawl space, so paying attention to these details is one more step in the right direction towards maintaining a high quality indoor environment.

WINDOW / DOOR OPENINGS

Our system of choice is a cost-effective, highly versatile window and door block-out system called VBUCK®. The system is comprised of lightweight, easy to assemble vinyl jamb and connector components along with supplemental, reusable bracing. From traditional rectangular to polygonal and on to different versions of curve-type openings, all are possible with the VBUCK® system. It's just one more way to "Get The Wood Out!®"

Do you have a particular architectural theme in your design or a room with a view that you want to take advantage of or perhaps both? Many window manufacturers offer a myriad of ways to combine window and door units to create unique designs. VBUCK® is one more tool in our "better way to build" arsenal of products that works well together to do just that.
